Meet the team:
Martin W. Ward, MAI, SRA
Marty is a Managing Director of Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. He has extensive experience in valuing a broad range of property types, specializing in complex property appraisals and litigation work, in addition to appraisal reviews. He has qualified as an expert witness in State and Federal Courts, and provides Yellow Book compliant appraisals, fractional interest values, and IRS compliant appraisals for estate planning. He was a member of the Colorado Chapter of the Appraisal Institute Board of Directors from 2001-2008 as well as holding positions on the Public Relations Committee, Admissions Committee, and was a Candidate Guidance Chairman. He has taught appraisal classes for the University of Colorado and private real estate schools.
Matthew W. Awsumb, MAI
Matt is a Managing Director with Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. Mr. Awsumb has 15 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. Mr. Awsumb is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in Colorado. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Montana and has completed numerous real estate courses sponsored by the Appraisal Institute and other providers. Mr. Awsumb has appraised all major property types and specializes in subdivision, office, retail, industrial, land, and special-use properties. He also has extensive experience in eminent domain valuations and routinely oversees company assignments involving multi-parcel acquisitions by state and local governmental entities as well as investment portfolios.
Clayton Watson
Clayton is a Managing Director of Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. Mr. Watson holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a degree in Real Estate and Construction Management from the University of Denver. He has over 30 years of experience and has appraised most types of non-residential properties including industrial, retail, office, apartments, lodging, day care, convenience stores, and church properties. Assignment purposes have included loan underwriting, right-of-way acquisition, foreclosure proceedings, tax appeal, estate planning, and going concern/business enterprise valuations.
M. Gabe Hill, MAI
Gabe is a Director with Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. He has over 20 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. He is a designated member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI) and is licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in Colorado. He earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Mississippi and has completed numerous real estate courses sponsored by the Appraisal Institute and other providers. Mr. Hill has extensive appraisal experience involving all major property types and many specialty property types. He currently specializes in retail shopping centers. Outside of work, his many hobbies include mountain biking and snowboarding.
Jack Feldman
Jack Feldman is a Certified General Appraiser with Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. He has 10 years of real estate appraisal and consulting experience. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Colorado at Denver. Jack has successfully completed various real estate appraisal courses. He has appraised all major property types including subdivision, office, retail, industrial, land, and special-use properties. Jack specializes in appraisals of auto dealerships and aviation hangars.
John Coogan
John is a Certified General Appraiser with Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. John’s experience includes brokerage and appraisal assignments including retail, office, apartment, industrial, and restaurant properties, as well as vacant land, and eminent domain-related acquisition analyses. He holds a Master of Business Administration and majors in Business Finance and Economics. John has successfully completed various courses in real estate for real estate brokerage and real estate appraisal.
Shaun Pettine
Shaun is a Certified General Appraiser with Valbridge Property Advisors | Denver | Front Range. She has a bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and first worked in the appraisal industry in Denver in the 1990s. She has been with Valbridge’s Front Range office since 2020. Shaun is a Candidate for Designation, Appraisal Institute, and has experience appraising all major property types, specializing in medical properties, fast-food restaurants, mountain and lodge properties, and redevelopment and assemblages.
