Employee background:

My first career was in banking which I began during college. I worked my way through the retail side of banking and ended up on the commercial real estate lending side. During my 23 years in banking, I learned many aspects of real estate. I worked full-time until the birth of my children then stayed home raising kids for a few years. During my time at home, I received my salespersons license and sold real estate for a few years part-time. While I still maintain my real estate license, I do not actively sell real estate. In 2005, I began working part-time for Tew Realty Advisors, a local appraisal office, handling their bookkeeping. As the business grew, I worked more hours, ultimately becoming a full-time in 2010. In 2012, we formed Capstone Valuation Advisors and in June of 2019 our group joined Valbridge.

What is your title and what do you do at Valbridge?

Business Operations Manager for our three offices in Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. I assist the partners in all aspects of the business from managing our operations, revenue management, bookkeeping, to handling our benefits and human resources.

How did you become a part of Valbridge and VWC?

I was introduced to the Valbridge Women’s Council by Danielle DelPo when we joined Valbridge during the summer of 2019. In September 2019, I met Joanne Montgomery and joined as a member. I was impressed by the talented and strong group of women we have in our company.

What are your specialty areas?

As a non-producer, my specialty is more of an operations function which is the use of QuickBooks Online to process our financials as well as developing and improving our job tracking system to facilitate the organization of our assignments and payroll.

What are some of the most interesting projects you've worked on at Valbridge?

The creation of our job tracking and revenue management system which we call BOSS, Business Operations Smartsheet.

What do you like most about working at Valbridge and being a member of the VWC?

I am grateful we can collaborate with one another to achieve our goals. I am truly blessed to be a part of an amazing, creative and hard-working group. We all work well together and are truly a TEAM! Joining Valbridge corporate has added additional resources and opportunities for us as a group to work smarter and become better as a whole. What I enjoy most about being a VWC member is the monthly discussion on a variety of topics.
