AdventHealth announced plans in February to redevelop the 14.212-acre Holy Land Experience site (which they acquired in July 2021 for $32 million or $52 psf of land). Phase one was to include an emergency room and health park integrated into a single building. An inpatient tower was planned for the second phase of the project, the hospital system said.
Permits obtained recently indicate phase one will commence in the northeast corner of the site (fronting Interstate 4) and will include a freestanding, 19,600 sf emergency room and adjacent helipad. The center of the property will offer a large water feature that will also act as on-site water detention. There is a public-access park planned for the southwestern portion of the site. Suggesting the phase two, inpatient tower will eventually be located at the southeast corner of the site, nearest the Interstate 4 & Conroy Road interchange.
