In October 2022, Equinox Development acquired a one-acre site in the northwest corner of W Sand Lake Road and Turkey Lake Road for $6,750,000, or $155 per sf, making the transaction one of the highest priced land sales in the Orlando MSA on a per square foot basis. The site is a half-mile east of Orlando’s Restaurant Row, a half-mile west of International Drive and 1.5 miles south of Universal Studios with 42,500 daily traffic counts on W Sand Lake Road and 30,504 on Turkey Lake Road.

 

The site is a former Chevron gas station and according to county records, a zoning application for a medical marijuana dispensary has been submitted. Underground tank removal and demolition is underway. Sources close to the developer indicated the project remains confidential and have declined to provide any further details.
