Job Brief
The Appraisal Director will complete complex appraisal assignments with the leveraged support of our highly trained Analyst Team who do all the front-end research and job setups. You’ll be comfortable and confident interacting directly with our long list of repeat clients. You’ll manage data flows, supervise team members, and you’ll participate as part of our office leadership team to help steer the direction of the company. As a Senior Appraiser and the Appraisal Director with our office, you’ll be appraising all types of commercial and industrial property within easy driving distance from our office or your home. If you have an existing book of business or a particular specialty, we’d be very interested in incentivizing you to incorporate that into our services.
Responsibilities
- Handle and/or supervise complex appraisal assignments
- Portfolio job management, ROW, or litigation support a plus
- Provide mentoring and guidance to supporting team members
- Build and nurture relationships with key clients and business contacts
- Serve in a leadership role and helping to steer the direction of the company
- Manage efficiently using Valbridge Assignment Management System (V-AMS)

Requirements
- 7+ years of commercial real estate valuation experience
- Management/team supervision experience preferred
- California Certified General Appraiser license required
- MAI and/or MRICS/FRICS designation (or in progress)
- Advanced Microsoft Office, analytical, and writing skills
- Team player with experience or desire to oversee a professional services team
- Business development and client relationship management experience a strong plus
