We are pleased to announce that Maria Aji, PhD, has been promoted to Director within Valbridge Property Advisors | Northern California region. Maria is based in our Silicon Valley office.

Maria brings decades of high-level experience in real property appraisal, market research, and regional and urban planning economics. She has over 25 years of experience as a commercial appraiser, the majority of which has been spent with our Valbridge Property Advisors team. Maria joined our team in 2001 and has grown and evolved in that time as much as our local firm, which joined forces in 2013 to create Valbridge Property Advisors, now the nation’s largest independent appraisal firm.

In addition to typical commercial property appraisals, Maria has expertise in many complex appraisal scenarios, including fair market rent estimates, easement valuations, and estate portfolios. She is also adept at the appraisal of special purpose properties such as vacant land, schools, houses of worship, gas stations, golf courses, and recreational facilities.

Maria supports up-and-coming appraisers by mentoring them through their entry-level years into licensure, coordinates internal educational lunch forums, and supports our organization in a number of other ways. She brings valued leadership and organizational experiences from her active involvements in Valbridge Women’s Council, the Appraisal Institute, and the Greek American Professional Women’s Society, among other organizations. Her education includes a PhD in Urban Planning from University of Southern California
