Founded in 1976 as Gilbeau Hulberg & Associates, then Hulberg & Associates, our firm began with the vision and dedication of Norm Hulberg, MAI, joined soon thereafter by Walt Carney, MAI. From early beginnings, our practice has grown well beyond the appraisal of major commercial asset classes to include special purpose properties, as well as a broad range of valuation advisory services. Our litigation support, expert witness, and tax appeal practices are just a few examples of the services we provide.

In 2013, we co-founded Valbridge Property Advisors, while continuing as an independently owned local firm. With Valbridge, our clients benefit from both our deep local knowledge and the firm’s national reach, resources, and leading-edge appraisal technology. In 2024, our senior leadership expanded further with the addition of Laura Hulberg.

Central to this 50-year milestone is the exceptional team behind our work.
