The Alabama Shipyard had a large tract of excess land, as well as some unused pier space and ancillary buildings, that they wanted to sell or lease. Their broker, Gulf States Real Estate Services, contracted us to figure out how to best parcel out all of that land to maximize lease or sale revenue. That included the valuation of vacant waterfront land, pier space, and ancillary port buildings and infrastructure.
