What is your title and what do you do at Valbridge?
Managing Director. I am in integral member of a team of professional real estate problem solvers.
How did you become a part of Valbridge?
Our firm was one of the founding members. It has been fascinating and educating to watch the Valbridge organization grow, adjust, and thrive from the ground up.
What are your specialty areas?
Vacant land, commercial appraisals, and consultations. I often handle complex, unusual, and highly challenging properties.
What are some of the most interesting projects you've worked on at Valbridge?
I recently valued the fair market value of a wireless easement corridor on Tribal land.
I also worked with two government entities to protect the use integrity of a military base and enhance population safety, while still allowing private land development, by developing land use modifications and a voluntary easement program.
I generally find any assignment fascinating that allows me to delve deeply into a new or unique aspect of real estate or real estate valuation.
What do you like most about working at Valbridge?
I have been provided the flexibility to find my passion within my career. My assignments are interesting. Collaborative efforts both within and outside of Valbridge with my clients is rewarding. I love having a nationwide ‘think tank’ at my fingertips to ensure I am able to attain competency on even my most challenging assignments. As the saying goes ‘’There is no limit to what can be accomplished if it doesn’t matter who gets the credit.’. I have experienced the generosity of data, knowledge, and experience over and over again from the brilliant appraisers within the national Valbridge family. We truly all make each other better.
I am writing this while on vacation in Coronado, California with my daughters and their friends. I appreciate a career that affords me and my family this balance and flexibility.
