Employee background:

I started my appraisal career in 1974 after graduating from the University of Idaho. Our firm did residential and commercial properties. I pursued the designation paths for both the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers and the Society of Real Estate Appraisers. I earned the RM and SRA designations by 1978. The MAI and SRPA designations followed in 1981. I was very active in both groups being chapter president of both two times. I served as a board member for the Appraisal Institute and was vice-chair of Region I. I was also the chair of the Ethics Administration Division for several years. My last assignment for the AI was as a member of the Government Relations Committee for Region I. I am also the designated broker for MSA Realty, LLC.

What is your title and what do you do at Valbridge?

I am the Senior Managing Director in the Boise, Idaho office. My duties include appraisal originations, consulting, appraisal review, litigation support, and office administration.

How did you become a part of Valbridge?

Our office became part of Valbridge early in the start-up phase.

What are your specialty areas?

We do virtually all types of real estate ranging from single-family subdivisions and apartments to complex commercial and industrial properties. We also do conservation easement appraisals and all types of recreational property.

What are some of the most interesting projects you've worked on at Valbridge?

Remote inholdings and lodges in the Idaho wilderness are challenging but beautiful properties. All properties are unique and present interesting approaches to valuation.

What do you like most about working at Valbridge?

THE PEOPLE! The Valbridge family consists of the finest group of appraisers and staff that I have ever come across in my 47 years as an appraiser. The Valbridge brand is the best there is in the industry.

Additional information:

My avocation is in aviation. I have flown commercially as well as privately over the past 57 years. We use the company aircraft to access remote or distant assignments. I am an active board member of the Idaho Aviation Foundation and the Idaho Aviation Association.
