Valbridge Property Advisors | Charlotte, formerly known as John Bosworth & Associates, LLC was formed for the purpose of providing professional real property appraisal and consulting services. Our principal function is to provide thorough, professional appraisal reports, delivered in a timely manner. We cover the Charlotte Region and Piedmont Triad markets.
Serving all of North Carolina, South Carolina, and the southeastern United States, Valbridge Property Advisors | Charlotte provides appraisals on office, retail, industrial, and multi-family properties. Consulting services include market feasibility studies, highest and best use analyses, and assessment analyses. Our primary focus is income analysis and valuation of multi-tenanted properties.
Meet the team:
John Bosworth, MAI, SRA, Senior Managing Director
John Bosworth has been involved in many facets of the real estate business. John holds the MAI and SRA appraisal designations awarded by the Appraisal Institute and is a State Certified General Real Estate Appraiser in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. In a related capacity, John is also a licensed NC Real Estate Broker and is a Realtor member of the Charlotte Regional Commercial Board of Realtors. John is also a past President of the North Carolina Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. John is an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor. At the present time, he is an approved instructor for the Appraisal Institute for USPAP and Business Practices and Ethics. Outside of work, John enjoys motorcycling, home renovation, and refinishing furniture.
Scott Carlisle, Senior Appraiser
Scott Carlisle is a commercial appraiser with over 12 years of experience and specializes in multi-family and petroleum-related facilities. Scott is an avid woodworker, furniture builder, and carpenter. He recently completed a state-of-the-art workshop. When not appraising or building things, Scott and his wife Kelly are kept busy chasing around their cute daughters, Laney and Alice.
Candy Getz, Senior Appraiser
Candy Getz is a Certified General Appraiser licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina. She is also a candidate for the MAI designation. Candy has been appraising real estate since 2017 and is also a licensed NC Real Estate Broker. Prior to becoming an appraiser, Candy’s most recent work experience was working with a Christian mission organization for almost 10 years and three of those years were spent living in southeast Africa.
Courtney Jones, Senior Appraiser
Courtney Jones is a commercial appraiser with nearly 20 years of experience in the appraisal field. Courtney holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a Practicing Affiliate member of the Appraisal Institute.
Ryan Walker, Appraiser
Ryan Walker is the latest addition to our professional staff and is an appraiser-in-training with a focus on the appraisal of office and industrial properties. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Wofford College and a Charlotte native. Ryan is also a beer enthusiast.
