Founded in 1978, Valbridge Property Advisors | Kansas City is among the largest and most experienced commercial appraisal firms in the region, with seven appraisers holding the MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute, including two past presidents of the Kansas City Chapter of the Appraisal Institute. We provide independent valuation and advisory services to local, regional, multi-market and national clients.
Our areas of appraisal expertise include multi-family, industrial, office, and institutional property types, as well as special purpose properties and right-of-way assignments. Meet the team:
Daniel Kann, MAI, MSRE, Senior Managing Director
Daniel Kann, MAI, MSRE is a senior managing Director in the Kansas City office. He has a Master’s degree in Real Estate Finance and Construction Management from Denver University (2015) and Bachelor’s degree in Marketing Management and Real Estate Finance from the University of Northern Iowa. He is an MAI-designated member of the Appraisal Institute. Daniel’s expertise has been published in national industry trade publications. He also serves as an adjunct professor teaching real estate valuation as part of the Master of Science in Entrepreneurial Real Estate program through the University of Missouri-Kansas City (UMKC) Bloch School of Management. He is a Young Leader member of the Urban Land Institute, a CCIM (Certified Commercial Investment Member) candidate with the CCIM Institute, and member of the Kansas City Chapter of the National Apartment Association.
Jason Roos, MAI, Senior Managing Director
Jason Roos, MAI is a Senior Managing Director in the Kansas City office. With extensive experience working in markets across the country, Jason has been with Valbridge since 2007, is an MAI designated member of the Appraisal Institute, and past president of the Appraisal Institute’s Kansas City Chapter. He has a breadth of experience conducting industrial and manufacturing property appraisals in diverse regions and markets across the U.S. for uses, including financing, ad valorem tax disputes, right of way acquisition, condemnation, collateral assessment, and investment analysis. He also leads Valbridge | Kansas City’s specialty in Triple Net (NNN) property valuations for national clients. Jason is a member of the Valbridge Property Advisors Long-Range Planning Committee and the President of the Valbridge Future Leaders Congress.
Joanne Montgomery, President
Joanne Montgomery brings her expertise in operations and executive management to the Valbridge Property Advisors | Kansas City leadership team as president. Since joining the firm in 2013, she has been instrumental in leading operations, human resources, marketing, and business development. Joanne is the immediate past president of the Valbridge Women’s Council and a Kansas City Centurion (Spring ’22), a competitive Kansas City Chamber of Commerce two-year program for emerging leaders. She has a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas.
