Valbridge Property Advisors | Palm Beach | Treasure Coast is a multi-faceted real estate appraisal firm serving the coastal Florida markets from Vero Beach to Boca Raton. Our team of appraisers provides independent property valuation and consulting services and has extensive experience in commercial, residential, and eminent domain assignments. It is our goal to provide the best service to our clients by utilizing our knowledge and experience in the analysis and valuation of real estate. In addition to serving our traditional lending clients Valbridge | Palm Beach | Treasure Coast has extensive experience in litigation support, condemnation appraisals, and as expert witnesses for private, public, and governmental clients. The office has three MAI designated members and one SRA designated member of the Appraisal Institute.
Interesting Assignments
We have been fortunate to be involved in numerous interesting and challenging assignments over the years, the most notable assignment being the appraisal of Mar-a-Lago on Palm Beach. We have been involved in the appraisal of several storm treatment areas (STAs) created in western Palm Beach and Broward County to help protect and sustain the Everglades. Additionally, we appraised the 91,000± Babcock Ranch which was acquired in partnership with the State to complete a wildlife corridor between Lake Okeechobee and the west coast of Florida.
Meet the team:
David W. Boyd, MAI
Boyd is the Senior Managing Director of the Commercial Division and has over 35 years of experience, the past 30 years in South Florida. David’s experience is varied and includes appraisals of all types of office, retail, industrial, commercial, hospitality, recreational, and agricultural properties. Over the last 25 years, David’s concentration has been the appraisal of residential (multi-family, single-family, and mixed-use) development properties, providing market and feasibility studies and valuation. David is also involved with select eminent domain projects and litigation support and is qualified as an expert witness in numerous counties in south and central Florida.
Stephen M. Schmidt, SRA
Schmidt the Senior Managing Director of the Residential Division and has over 35 years of experience in the appraisal of residential properties. Steve engages in a wide variety of residential assignments and specializes in the high-end waterfront, estate, and condominium properties. Given our location, Steve, is known as the local expert in the valuation of high end residential properties which has included valuations up to $100,000,000. Steve has also served as a Special Master for Palm Beach County Clerk of the Circuit Court’s Value Adjustment Board since 1990. Steve has served as an expert witness in Palm Beach and Broward counties.
William H. Brannum
Brannum is the Senior Managing director of the Eminent Domain Division and has over 30 years of appraisal experience in this specialized area. Bill handles a wide variety of assignments for both the condemning authority as well as property owners. Experience includes appraisals of all types of vacant land, agricultural properties, warehouse properties, office buildings, retail developments, restaurants, apartment complexes, and single and multi-family residences, as well as a powerline easements and pipeline corridors. Bill has completed over 65 eminent domain projects for various condemning authorities and is qualified as an expert witness in 20 counties thorough out the State of Florida.
