Title: Appraiser Analyst
Date: November 22, 2021
VPA Office: South-Central Mississippi | Gulfport-Biloxi
Employee background:
I was born and raised here in the south within Gulfport, Mississippi. I attended Mississippi State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences in 2012. I gained more than five years of professional banking experience prior to my employment with Valbridge.
What is your title and what do you do at Valbridge?
I am currently an appraiser analyst working toward my GA certification. I work directly with my supervisor on appraisal assignments and provide necessary support including assistance with property inspection, data research and entry, and report writing.
How did you become a part of Valbridge and VWC?
I joined Valbridge Property Advisors nearly five years ago, in February 2018, when Everette and Patricia Ladner approached me with a proposal to come on board. They were operating as Ladner Appraisal Group. This was a small business with big aspirations, and I was excited to be a part of that. I also became a member of the Valbridge Women’s Council, and this year I was able to join the VWC Membership Committee.
What are your specialty areas?
I do not have any specialty areas just yet but hope to learn much more regarding commercial property valuations.
What are some of the most interesting projects you've worked on at Valbridge?
I find estate jobs interesting because we are exposed to various property types and meet many different contacts. I was also involved in an appraisal for the Grand Magnolia Ballroom & Suites in Pascagoula, Mississippi near the historic downtown district. This was a beautiful inspection of an establishment with a unique atmosphere.
What do you like most about working at Valbridge and being a member of the VWC?
I enjoy working at Valbridge because it has given me the opportunity to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to further my career. South-Central Mississippi has a very collaborative office atmosphere, and our team works together on almost every project. Being a member of the VWC creates a sense of empowerment and offers encouragement for all.
