Valbridge Property Advisors | Utah has an immediate opening for a licensed or certified residential appraiser. The ideal candidate will need to be self-motivated with experience appraising a variety of residential properties including luxury, recreational and multi-family properties. Valbridge Property Advisors | Utah is part of a nationwide property valuation firm with 80 office locations, 200 MAI-designated appraisers and more than 675 staff across the nation. We are the largest independent property valuation and advisory services firms in the U.S. In Utah we have offices in Salt Lake County, Utah County and St. George. The right candidate will have the convenience to work hybrid with their either or Salt Lake or Utah County office being their base. This is an excellent position for an established appraiser that is relocating, or that would like to focus on writing reports and eliminate administrative and business tasks they are currently juggling with their appraisal assignments.

Responsibilities

• Conduct formal appraisals of real property or land for a variety of clients including banks, mortgage lenders, AMCs, attorneys, municipalities, and individual owners
• Provide an unbiased, comprehensive, and professional opinion of market value
• Examine all variables that impact the property's value, including but not limited to property sales data and comparables sales
• Comply with USPAP and keep informed of all current regulations, standards, and best practices
• Be a licensed or certified appraiser in good standing
• Strong analytical and research skills
• Familiarity with Total appraisal software
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge and experience searching online to obtain market data for comparative analysis
• Acute attention to detail
• Possess sound judgement, excellent time management and organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Professional, positive, and respectful attitude with clients, property owners, property contacts and co-workers
