Title: Associate Appraiser
Date: November 17, 2023
VPA Office: Valbridge Property Advisors | Fargo
Employee background:
Prior to joining Valbridge in June 2022, I first worked as a bank examiner with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) for seven years and then worked with a local bank in the commercial real estate department for seven years.
What is your title and what do you do at Valbridge?
I am an associate appraiser and work on all property types in Minnesota and North Dakota. I am currently working towards my Certified General license, which I hope to have completed in a couple of years.
How did you become a part of Valbridge?
I was looking for a career change that would allow more flexibility, especially with a young child. I had such a positive working relationship with the appraisers in the Minneapolis office from my prior job that I reached out to see if there were any opportunities in Fargo. It proved to be great timing, as they recently opened an office in Fargo.
What are your specialty areas?
I currently work on all property types, as I am working towards the certified general license.
What are some of the most interesting projects you've worked on at Valbridge?
I have had the opportunity to work on several mixed-use buildings, a rural self-storage property, and a honeybee facility.
What do you like most about working at Valbridge?
The team is supportive, there is open communication, and sharing knowledge and learning is encouraged. The company has a great work culture and encourages team building with "lunch and learns", quarterly outings, and annual get togethers.
Additional information:
My five-year-old daughter and I live in Moorhead with our lazy Shar-Pei dog named Jordan. Who by the way thinks that she is the greatest too! We love going to parks and spending time with the grandparents, especially at a cabin for a week during the summer.
