This month we shine our office spotlight on our newest location in Austin, Texas.

The Valbridge | Austin office opened on May 1, 2019. The office specializes in a number of property types and services, including: Commercial and Retail properties, Multi-family housing, Industrial complexes, Corporate Offices, and special purpose properties; Right of Way services across the state of Texas; Agricultural properties including farm and ranch properties ranging in size from small to in excess of 100,000 acres, river, creek, and lakefront properties, conservation easements, property partitions, and more; Estate Planning and Settlement services for all property types; and Ad Valorem Tax services. For all appraisal and consulting assignments, Valbridge Property Advisors | Austin is qualified and able to provide expert testimony and litigation support.

Meet the team:

T. Jordan Sale, MAI, Director

Sale earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Texas Christian University in 2004. He began his career with a global financial institution where he served as an internal commercial appraisal consultant for various lines of business and lending units. Sale continued his appraisal career with global commercial real estate firms, conducting and consulting assignments on an extensive number of property types. His real estate specialties include retail, office, industrial, multi-family, hospitality, and other specialty-use commercial properties.

Paul P. Grafe, MAI, CCIM, Senior Managing Director

Grafe earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University in 1985. Since that time, he has been engaged in independent real estate fee appraisal and consultant work and is a qualified expert witness, testifying for real estate related matters in County, District, and Federal Courts. Real estate clients served include corporations, law firms, accounting firms, individuals, financial institutions, mortgage lenders, conduit lenders, governmental agencies, developers, and estates.

Merill E. Swanson, ARA, Senior Managing Director

Swanson earned two degrees from Texas A&M University including Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics in 1986 and Master of Agriculture in Land Economics and Real Estate in 1988. Valuation experience includes appraisal of land, commercial and industrial properties, and residential properties. His real estate specializations include large rural properties, farms and ranches, wetlands and coastal properties, undivided interest and conservation easements, land partition, special purpose agribusiness properties, water rights, impact studies, and more.

Brett E. Weatherbie, MIA, Senior Managing Director

Weatherbie earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Auburn University in 1996. His real estate experience includes appraisal and consulting assignments related to commercial, retail, office, hotel/lodging, industrial, manufacturing, multi-family, and more. Clients served includes attorney, commercial lending institutions and trust departments, major insurance companies, governmental banking entities, estates, individuals, land investors, mortgage companies, conversation group, and the National Park Service.

Clint J. Bendele, MAI, ARA, Senior Managing Director

Bendele earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Texas State University in 1999. His experience includes appraisal and consulting assignments related to residential and commercial properties, farm and ranch, and special use. He has testified as an expert witness in real estate matters. Specializations include estate planning and undivided interest valuations, groundwater and riparian water rights, rural property partitions, hunting and grazing lease studies, and more.

John P. “Tooter” Robertson, Jr. ARA, Managing Director

Robertson earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University in 2003 and later obtained a Master of Land Economics and Real Estate from the same institution in 2004. His valuation experience includes appraisal and consulting assignments related to farm and ranch properties, transition lands, special use, and commercial and residential properties. Robertson’s real estate specializations include working, recreational and game managed ranches to include small properties to large ranches in excess of 250,000 acres, river, creek, and lakefront properties, estate planning and undivided interest valuations, conservation easements, rural property partitions, irrigated and dry farmland, special agriculture properties, coastal properties, groundwater and riparian water rights, and more.
