Valbridge Property Advisors | Dallas serves a large area of North and Northeast Texas. The Dallas team of appraisers and consultants provide independent property valuation and consulting services of all property types. Our services are for lending, development, litigation, estate planning, fractional interest valuation, assessment appeals, corporate acquisitions, and other intended uses. We have significant experience in multi-family appraisal including a wide range of affordable housing programs.
Consulting and market analysis are part of our services for the large metropolitan markets as well as the various tertiary and rural markets within the vast North/Northeast Texas area. In addition, we provide services in Arkansas as well as eastern New Mexico.
Furthermore, we provide consulting/valuation services as well as going-concern valuations of special-use properties such as fuel terminals, funeral homes/cemeteries, marinas, and other non-traditional property types.
Meet the team:
Michael Divin, MAI
Michael Divin has been in the appraisal profession since 1984. He is a Senior Managing Director with Valbridge Property Advisors | Dallas. He is a native Houstonian before moving to Dallas in 2013 and has been with Valbridge (formerly Gerald A. Teel Co) since 1997. He has an MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. He managed the Valbridge Lubbock office from 2008 thru 2013 and taught “Principles of Real Estate Appraising” for three years at Texas Tech University as an adjunct professor. He has served on the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute as a regional representative and chaired the 2016 Young Appraiser Professional (YAP) committee. He has qualified for expert testimony in Texas and has performed appraisal work in 38 US States. Mr. Divin has been involved in appraising complicated industrial properties consisting of going-concern values of oil refineries, fuel terminals, salt-water injection wells, salt-dome storage facilities, as well as one of the largest disposal facilities in the U.S. holding significant permits for Class A, B, and C low-level radioactive waste, hazardous waste, and by-product material. He has also been involved with all levels of medical facilities including acute care hospitals. In recent years, he has developed significant funeral home and cemetery valuation business both from a real estate value only perspective and a going-concern business value perspective.
Tim Brennan, MAI
Tim Brennan has been in the appraisal profession since 1989 and currently is the Managing Director of the Valbridge Property Advisors | Dallas office. Tim was born in Kansas City but has called Dallas home for the past 50 years. He has an MAI designation with the Appraisal Institute. He currently is the Vice President of the North Texas Chapter of the Appraisal Institute as well as being a Regional Representative. He has also held the office of Treasurer and Secretary. Mr. Brennan has qualified for expert testimony in Dallas and Woods County. He has experience in a wide variety of commercial property types and expertise in multi-family housing including a wide array of affordable housing programs.
Jason Wagner, MAI
Jason Wagner is a Senior Appraiser with the Valbridge Property Advisor | Dallas office and has been with the firm since 2015. Jason was born in Florida and has been in Texas since 2003 and in Dallas since 2008. He holds a BA in Finance from UT-Arlington and a Masters of Real Estate (LERE) from Texas A&M University. He holds a Texas State General Certification. He is a member of the Appraisal Institute and holds the MAI designation. He enjoys appraising triple net properties, industrial facilities, both single and multi-tenant, as well as self-storage projects.
Chris Knight
Chris Knight is a Senior Appraiser, who is at the time of this publication, close to getting his MAI designation. He was a native Houstonian prior to joining Valbridge Property Advisors | Dallas in 2013. He holds a BS in Agriculture Economics with a concentration in Rural Entrepreneurship and a minor in Business Administration from Texas A&M University. He holds both a Texas and Arkansas State General Certification. He is a practicing affiliate of the Appraisal Institute and as previously indicated, has completed all the requirements for MAI designation. He enjoys appraising large acre ranches, yellow-book assignments, retail centers, and industrial properties, both single and multi-tenant.
